Yin Bailu is an adventurer. After giving her love to someone who didn't need it, only to be betrayed and mistreated by that person, she exiled herself, leaving the place where her heart was broken. She declared that she'd rather die far away than ever see the person who hurt her again, for all eternity.
But people make plans and Heaven laughs. Five years later, Yin Lian suddenly changed her tune and began searching frantically for Yin Bailu, even taking the initiative to ask her to work together, as if she hadn't been the one to confess first and hurt her afterward.
"Tianxuan Cave, Wangquan Mountain, Laojun Pool, the Undersea Thread... Everything we've been through together was bait to lure you in, a trap to ensnare you." Yin Lian was consumed by a madness she struggled to restrain, hiding her feelings behind a mask of patience. Like a beguiling poisonous vine, she was always blooming with flowers Yin Bailu loved, yet she was also always winding around her until she was covered in wounds.
"I know." Yin Bailu smiled faintly as she lifted Yin Lian's deathly pale chin. "You can manipulate me only because I love you, and I let you."
