Xia Weizhi once secretly liked someone. She made him her academic goal and quietly competed with him.

Back then, the boy would walk along the tree-lined paths, talking about his dreams.

He spoke so confidently, surrounded by the golden halo of a top student. His spirited, proud, and passionate manner made her heart flutter.

Later, he appeared before her again, almost as if he'd fallen from the sky. Compared with the carefree boy she'd known, he was gentler and more composed, and... just a little more devious, with her wrapped around his finger. =-=

After all their twists and turns, several love letters that she never meant to send still ended up in Xu Yanchen's hands.

Xia Weizhi stammered through a thousand excuses, but he only chuckled and drawled, "Don't worry. I won't make you take responsibility."

He seemed like he really didn't care, and Xia Weizhi slowly relaxed, thinking they had never been right for each other.

Until one day, at a gathering with friends, Xu Yanchen took a few drinks for her. Out of basic human decency, Xia Weizhi kept him company while he got some air by the roadside.

Beneath the streetlight, he seemed quite drunk. Leaning against a tree, he began talking about his childhood.

Xia Weizhi listened intently, gazing into his dark eyes as she remembered all the moments she'd fallen for him.

His sunny charm, gentle manners, and optimistic spirit had always captivated her, but she'd never noticed that he could be vulnerable too, or that he could be hurt when those around him didn't understand him.

The faint scent of alcohol drifted to her nose. A tipsy flush rose to her cheeks, while her eyes gradually reddened.

His low laughter sounded beside her ear. "When you look at me like that, I'll start thinking you still like me."

She blinked and softly replied, "Mm. I still, still like you."

Later, Xu Yanchen gave it some thought and added a note: He's still alive. No need to fantasize. :)

Years later, he wrote 33 reply letters and sent them to the future Mrs. Xu, telling her the secret he'd treasured for years.

"So you fell for me because of my top-student halo?

What a coincidence. I fell for you because of yours, too. I saw how hard you worked and how you refused to give up, and that's when I fell for you.

You little shadow, I sentence you to follow me forever. ^-^"

Boss Li used a devious trick to turn Mi Xiaoduo into his assistant, exploiting her and treating her harshly. He'd also often cry to her, "My amusement park is going bankrupt! Soon you won't be able to enjoy the good life with me anymore!"

Later, the heavens finally opened their eyes. Boss Li's amusement park really did fall into the red, while Mi Xiaoduo's career went from strength to strength.

While she had plenty of money, she went to taunt a certain someone with a cocky smile:

"Terminate your employment contract, put on your bunny-ear headband, and beg me. Then I'll invest in you."

Boss Li considered it, then leaned against the wall and said lazily, "How about... you hire me instead? I can pay you in good looks."

Mi Xiaoduo, finally free to sing the song of the liberated slave, glanced at him coolly and thought he had no shame. Who could have guessed that just then, a beam of sunlight would shine through the window, illuminating his handsome profile?

Even the great calligrapher Teacher Mi, who had cultivated her composure for years, couldn't help but stand on ceremony and vie for the title of boss.

Rumor had it that the owner of Funland Amusement Park was brilliant and dashing, devastatingly handsome and so cool he could shake heaven and earth.
