Jiang Huai's mother's close friend's daughter was coming to City A for college. She was said to be beautiful, clever, cute, and lively, if a little spoiled. Unable to stand living in a dorm, she would stay at Jiang Huai's place for a while.

Jiang Huai hung up and refused.

At the end of August, a pretty girl suddenly rang her doorbell. When Jiang Huai opened the door, the girl pushed her suitcase inside and asked, "Hi, I'm Ai Baobao. Where am I staying?"

Jiang Huai: ?

She joined Jiang Huai for dinner without being invited, then started picking at the food. "Why is there ginger in everything? I don't eat scallions, ginger, or garlic. And go easy on the soy sauce. I like my food mild."

Jiang Huai: ??

She got up and threw the girl out, suitcase and all.

After living with Jiang Huai for a while, Ai Baobao happened to learn that this tough girl who kept wishing for the apocalypse actually had a girl she'd never gotten over! She heard that Jiang Huai's childhood sweetheart had died of leukemia, and she'd shut herself off from love ever since. It made Ai Baobao cry through a whole box of tissues.

Later, while talking to her mother on the phone, she discovered that Jiang Huai never had a childhood sweetheart. If there was anyone who could fit the description, it was the girl who'd gone to and from school with Jiang Huai until she transferred: herself.

The childhood sweetheart who supposedly died of leukemia after six months of treatment was me?!

When Jiang Huai first met Ai Baobao, she couldn't understand how anyone could bear to have a name like that. She later learned that this girl wasn't just a baby, but a little empress, too.
