The original title was The Boy I Like Likes the Girl Who Likes Me. It's a bit too long, but it pretty much sums up the main story. I also like the original cover, so I'll leave it as it is for now.

Blurb for my next Taming novel. One of the main characters is Jiang Huai from the Shanhai Band, who appeared in this novel.

Jiang Huai's mother's close friend's daughter is coming to City A for college. She's reportedly pretty, smart, and clever, but a little spoiled. She can't stand living in a dorm, so she'll be staying with Jiang Huai for a while.

Jiang Huai hangs up and says no.

At the end of August, a pretty girl suddenly rings the doorbell. She opens the door and pushes her suitcase inside. "Hi, I'm Ai Baobao. Where am I staying?"

Jiang Huai: ?

She doesn't wait to be invited to dinner, just sits down at the table, then starts making demands. "Why is there ginger in everything? I don't eat scallions, ginger, or garlic. And go easy on the soy sauce. I like mild flavors."

Jiang Huai: ??

She gets up and throws the girl and her suitcase right out the door.

After living with Jiang Huai for a while, Ai Baobao happens to find out that this cool girl who hopes the world will end has a first love! Apparently, her childhood sweetheart died of leukemia, and she's kept her heart closed ever since. It makes Ai Baobao cry through a whole box of tissues.

Later, while talking to her mother, she discovers that Jiang Huai never had a childhood sweetheart. If she had one, it would be Ai Baobao herself. Before Jiang Huai transferred schools, they always walked to and from school together.

Was I the childhood sweetheart who died of leukemia after just six months of treatment?!
