Running Toward You

1.

Chu Wei attended the Influencer Festival. After the event, the platform's investors invited her to dinner. When she sat down, she spotted her favorite esports player and deliberately took a seat nearby. As soon as she approached, she heard his teammate nudging Chaobei and asking in a low voice, "Isn't that the streamer you watch on your alt account?"

2.

After the meal, Chu Wei left the private dining room and ran into Chaobei, who had been waiting at the end of the hallway for a long time.

The moment he saw her, the young man blushed. He lowered his head and held out his phone. "Sis, could, could I add you on WeChat? I really like you. Your cooking."

Chu Wei's lips curved ever so slightly as she scanned the code. "There."

"Thank you, sis."

Seeing the two red ears exposed as Chaobei lowered his head, Chu Wei touched one with her cool hand. "Why are your ears so red?"

"I, I get like this when I talk to girls..."

Chu Wei smiled. "Then how are you ever going to get a girlfriend?"

"..."

3.

Watching Chu Wei walk away with a graceful sway, Chaobei touched the ear she'd brushed and thought: She said she'd date me! I have to work even harder and earn enough to buy us a home!

4.

Late at night, the training room at the FW base was still brightly lit. The teammates watched as the youngest member of the team, their AD carry, trained until five in the morning without a break, as if a single meal had sent him into overdrive.

A teammate reminded him, "Xiao Bei, it's five o'clock."

Chaobei's eyes were bloodshot from staying up, but he was more fired up than ever. "We're definitely winning the championship this year!!!"
