Wuwei is a half-demon raised by humans, half human and half fox.
Ordered to infiltrate the demon ranks and capture their leader, he faces one dangerous mission after another. But after meeting a frail young man with maxed-out luck, everything goes surprisingly smoothly.
Wuwei vows, "I'll rescue everyone who's been captured!"
The young man smiles. "All right."
That very night, every human captured by the demons returns safely to base.
Wuwei: "I'll beat the stuffing out of those wicked demons!"
The young man: "No problem."
The next day, the monsters in the maze come running out in tears.
Wuwei: "I'll capture their leader!"
This time, the young man says nothing.
One day, Wuwei somehow ends up in a chat group for the demon leaders.
Demon A: "I'm bored. We need one more for mahjong. Who's in?"
Demon B: "How come we haven't seen the boss lately?"
Demon C: "The boss picked up a pet a while back and has been taking him everywhere."
Wuwei, under his secret identity, can't resist asking: "What kind of pet?"
Demon C: "That male fox, Wuwei. The boss is with him all day long."
Wuwei puts down his phone, then suddenly turns and sees the "frail young man" ten meters away, crushing a Hellfire Beast to death with one hand...
"Shit."
