[2021.8.5] Please add my upcoming story of the same type, Still Strange Bedtime Stories, to your collection~ Please add The Thorn Queen, an expanded full-length story about Annie and Aumon, to your collection~ Check out my author page. ---Please add my upcoming story next door, The Human-Demon Employment Assistance Program, to your collection--- Thousands of years ago, an elder of the demon clan and the founding patriarch of the Demon Catching Sect shared a passionate, enduring, and mutually devastating love. From then on, the demon clan decreed that its descendants must cause an unending stream of minor trouble in the human world, so that no descendant of a demon catcher would ever have to worry about finding work. The little demon Huali exclaimed in amazement, “Wow! No wonder he's an elder. Even his forbidden love between a human and a ghost is so full of positive energy~” As an adult, Huali diligently began her targeted assistance work: Steal the last egg from the chicken coop, so the hen has nothing to hatch! Pick up every pebble along the riverbank, so no one can skip stones! Buy the vendor's last piece of candy, so a child will bawl! After successfully causing a whole series of minor troubles, Huali planted her hands on her hips and laughed. She really was a wicked little genius! ...But come to think of it, where was the Taoist priest she was supposed to be helping? * The Demon Catching Sect's ancestral precepts say: A demon catcher's descendant must be paired one-on-one with a demon. In front of humans, the demon catcher must pretend to punish the demon, but handle them gently, so every demon can cause trouble without any worries. As a disciple of the Demon Catching Sect, Zong Jing solemnly vowed, “The founding patriarch gave his instructions, and I shall obey.” After a lengthy search, Zong Jing finally found his fated partner, a flower squirrel demon named Huali She had just crawled out of a chicken coop with a head full of messy feathers. Her pockets were so heavy with pebbles that she could barely walk, but she stubbornly trudged toward the village entrance to buy candy. Zong Jing fell into deep thought. Zong Jing remained silent for a long time. Zong Jing took out a coin and paid the furious chicken farmer who had chased after him. · One-on-one pairing, happy ending. · Probably a story about an assistance-program intern and an insurance claims adjuster. Theme: Find the beauty in life in the little things, and spread the positive message that there is genuine kindness in the world.
