Transmigrated as the Paper-Doll Fiancée of an Immortal Venerable

Blurb:

Zhiwei transmigrates into the heroine of a xianxia novel. She's been poisoned, had her spiritual roots removed, lost her cultivation, had all her meridians severed, and been sealed inside a painting, where she has become a paper doll.

With only half a month to live from the start, she might as well just wait to die.

System: “You have to restore the heroine's halo and ascend to immortality.”

Zhiwei: “...Forget restoring the heroine's halo. How about you just make a new heroine?”

System: “Ahem, I specifically applied for a golden finger for you. Would you perhaps be interested in having someone raise you?”

Zhiwei: ...?

Immortal Venerable Xie Yun Zhi obtains a magical treasure called Love and Dao Companions.

Inside it, he raises a fiancée.

His fiancée is a foolish female cultivator, with low cultivation and little talent, whose whole heart is devoted to him. She has only one thing going for her: a face of peerless beauty, just a tiny bit less beautiful than his.

Xie Yun Zhi has to teach her swordsmanship, give her cultivation techniques, and carefully prepare surprises for her on all 367 holidays of the year.

The final reward: a night of passion with his fiancée!

Xie Yun Zhi corrects him: She's a paper doll spirit, not a fiancée.

It looks like this Immortal Venerable can't be won over. Maybe she should pack up and find the Demon Venerable instead. Zhiwei plans her escape.

Then one day...

During the immortal-demon war, the painting is destroyed, and the fiancée's soul is annihilated.

But unexpectedly, Xie Yun Zhi's Dao heart shatters, and he becomes a demon overnight. His overwhelming sword energy levels Fumo Mountain, and he points his sword at the Demon Venerable. “Give me back my fiancée!”

Demon Venerable: ...???

Couple: An emotionless, sword-obsessed Immortal Venerable who is clueless about romance x a fiancée who is a master strategist and keeps practicing swordsmanship even after turning into a paper doll.

Note: The heroine isn't foolish. She's a skilled actress, a scheming sweetheart. The genuinely gullible hero thinks she's very foolish.
