To Settle the Affairs of King and Country

"If you were a man, you would be the perfect choice for Crown Prince."

"Even though I'm not a man, I will still be that one and only choice."

-

Rong Nian'an never expected that, on the eve of her country’s fall, she would finally ascend to the most exalted position in the world.

Then, bearing the most solemn humiliation in the world, she represented her country and surrendered to its enemy.

-

She never imagined that the prison carriage taking her to the enemy nation would be ambushed.

Rong Nian'an: Just how incompetent is my country, to lose to a nation whose prison carriage can be hijacked by bandits?

-

Then she discovered that the leader of the bandits who had hijacked the carriage was a pitiful little boy she had once saved.

The little boy had inherited his family business and made a name for himself. When he heard her country had been conquered, he grabbed a blade and stormed in like a bandit, rescuing her from that gang of thugs.

-

Yuan Xiu: I have come for you, Your Majesty.

Rong Nian'an: What Your Majesty? Call me Sect Master's wife, won't you, Sect Master?

-

Rong Nian'an: Yuan Xiu, I think I'd be better suited to being emperor than Sect Master's wife. What do you think, Empress?

Yuan Xiu: It would be my pleasure, Your Majesty.

Theme: Those with ability can find a way to rise again, even after hitting rock bottom.
