[Crossover] How Can a Coward Survive in a High-Risk World?

[Kind of want to write a DC crossover, sob]

You are an NPC, playing many different people. Every time, you know when you will die. For example, right now:

[Role acquired: Lily] (White Witch)

[Ability: Purification] (Other abilities: locked)

[Time remaining: 10 years] (Reduced with each use)

Of course, this kind of death isn't real death. It just means that this identity temporarily disappears from the world.

All your secret identities are on a countdown. While they are alive, you can use cards to customize their stories. You don't tear up cards lightly. When the timer reaches its limit, you arrange for the identity to exit the stage, then repair the damaged card in your own space.

One day, they will all be restored, completely unharmed.

Some of them came into your hands in the first place so they could be repaired.

Your life in the real world is on a countdown, too. You can extend it by eliciting emotional reactions from other people.

So you rub your hands together and start setting up the story you want.

.

The White Witch, protected by others, who lost everything.

“She ran toward freedom.”

A postman who delivers to the living the letters the dead wanted them to receive.

“Because I died, too.”

A boy who can dispel negative emotions with song and dance.

Little Kobayashi, cursed, and the dragon girl who cursed her.

“Home is wherever Little Kobayashi is.”

A lone messenger from hell.

“Would you like to try going to hell?”

And so the White Witch, willing to accept the fate laid out for her, opens her arms and embraces the filth surrounding her.

The ghostly postman, who delivers letters only for the dead, coldly announces the death of someone dear and hands over their will.

The boy's sunny optimism can cleanse every shadow, and he can face the threat of death with a smile.

The dragon girl who cursed the one she loves, and the messenger from hell.

They all come from the same mysterious place.

They have all lost someone important to them.

XX: They're all me.

Please note before reading:

There may be some plot holes. I'm trying to fix them (bows deeply).

The story is written in third person; only the blurb is in first person. The protagonist's name is XX.

The blurb will be revised often, so it may not match the events in the story.

The Demon Slayer part may come a little later (fidgets).

No secret identities are exposed. No cruelly tearing up cards.

Theme: I don't know what the theme is, either
