A science-believing, easygoing beauty who gets fierce and ruthless when defending her own (uke) X a deranged, fragmented villain who turns timid and sweet when doting on his wife (seme)
Qin Shu, whose birth horoscope is exceptionally strong, is the last person to believe in ghosts and gods. Yet he accidentally falls into a horror video on his phone.
From then on, Qin Shu becomes a cannon-fodder NPC, but he gets an invincible bug.
To escape the video, Qin Shu has to follow its original plot to the letter. Otherwise, the progress bar will erase him.
The video plots are as follows:
1. [Devouring Shadows]
Divine beasts that eat shadows, ancient objects brought to life, and judgment in the Mirror Prison. Qin Shu is trapped in a coffin and sunk to the bottom of a lake, but after escaping with ease, he looks at the skeleton crushed beneath the coffin lid and says, "Looks like your coffin likes me better."
The skeleton wails: "My coffin isn't pure anymore!"
2. [Sacrifice to the Undead]
A boy offered in sacrifice, a vengeful evil spirit, and nightmares of death. Qin Shu is struck by an evil ghost and sent tumbling into an abyss, but after landing safely, he says, "We agreed you'd just pretend. Why are you taking it so seriously?"
The evil ghost complains mournfully: "Master, could you at least draw the talisman correctly first? Incorrect talismans and incantations can make even ghosts lose control!"
3. [Demon Spirit of Fortune]
Defying fate, bonding with a demon spirit, and backlash from bad luck. Qin Shu is hunted by the divine realm and his soul is destroyed, but after being reborn as a demon, he bossily orders the half-demon feared even by the divine realm: "I raised you!"
Ye Yan sneers: "Hah, useless. Why should I help you?"
But a month later
The demons: "Your Majesty, he's a demon too, and he can fly. You don't have to carry him everywhere!"
Ye Yan, calm and composed: "Protecting the weak is a traditional virtue of the demon realm."
The demons: "??? You mean Qin Shu, the one who drove back the entire demon clan by himself, is weak?"
Qin Shu: "No cuddling. Put me down."
A snarky version of the blurb:
When Qin Shu becomes a librarian and faces an ancient divine beast trapped in a book, he tears up the tome with ease: "You look so fierce, but one lousy book can trap you?"
When he becomes a second-rate ghost hunter and faces a big shot from the ghost realm pinned down by a magic formation, Qin Shu rips off the talismans in one go: "A formation this weak can still suppress ghosts?"
When he becomes a fallen demon god and faces a half-demon beaten to a pulp by the divine realm, Qin Shu leads the demons on an easy breakout: "I went to all the trouble of becoming a demon, and this is what I got to raise? Still, becoming a demon was worth it. What are those gods even good for?"
And so Qin Shu earns the hatred of gods and humans alike, the fury of a hundred ghosts, and the shock of every demon.
There isn't a single "person" who doesn't want to kill Qin Shu, but his birth horoscope is so strong that none of them can lay a finger on him.
Faced with the three realms joining forces against him, Qin Shu thinks: "I can explain. It's all the bug's fault."
But in reality, he just sneers: "That's it?"
The deranged villain Ye Yan travels through the same videos. Every day, he hears his underlings complain:
The Vermilion Bird, treated as a free mount; the evil ghost, punched in the head; the demon, thrown into the flames: "Your Majesty, Qin Shu is absolutely deranged!"
Ye Yan: "...Don't ask me. I can't beat him."
After stumbling through every video plot, Qin Shu finally completes his mission and returns to reality.
When he picks up his phone again, he suddenly receives a strange message: "Qin Shu, did you forget to take me with you? Love, Ye Yan."
Qin Shu coldly tosses his phone aside: "Junk message. Do not disturb."
Tips:
1. The bug comes with a snark buff, but strength speaks for itself.
2. The protagonist isn't constrained by the people in the videos. The only thing that can kill him is the progress bar. He's known as the number-one runner against time.
3. That's right, I drew the ugly cover myself. It's worth fifty cents at most.
Over in The Grass on the Other Side (now open for follows)
Theme: Time is life.
I just saw my good sister picking up mineral water on the road alone, and I felt very uncomfortable. I didn't expect that the former Jinjiang author would become a competitor. I refused to admit defeat, mustered up my courage, and strode forward shamelessly. I threw down the books I picked up in front of her, such as "When Cannon Fodder A Becomes the Protagonist" and "The Villain Doesn't Follow the Routines" and asked, "Do you want to change the mineral water bottle?" She sneered: "I have a bottom line when it comes to picking up trash." "I don't want dirty things." She walked away with a puff of sleeves, and I lay on the ground crying, beating my chest and feet, and yelled angrily: You are such a cold and heartless woman! Ah! Is my thick skin useless? Why is the wind blowing from the deserted comment section still cold? Why is it that after crying and scrambling for collection, there is still nothing left? No! No—— Please collect and comment. Please collect and comment. Please collect and comment. Don't let picking up trash become the destiny of a lonely author!
I've been catching bugs slowly lately, so it doesn't affect my reading.
Baby, I changed my name

Baby, you're a little short
There was a little bear and a little rabbit. The little bear was taller than the little rabbit, so the little rabbit said, I am shorter than you, I am shorter than you.
