My other novel, Carry the Infinite-Flow Boss and Chase the Progress Bar, is currently updating daily. Ignore the bargain-bin cover and give it a try!
A beautiful, easygoing believer in science who gets fierce and ruthless when defending his own (shou) X A twisted, fragmented personality who turns timid and sweet when doting on his husband (gong)
Qin Shu was born under an extremely auspicious astrological sign, so he has never believed in ghosts or gods. But one careless moment later, he finds himself trapped inside a horror video on his phone.
From then on, Qin Shu becomes a cannon-fodder NPC, but he gets caught in an invincible bug.
To escape the video, Qin Shu must follow the original plot exactly. Otherwise, the progress bar will erase him.
The video’s plot goes like this:
1. [Devouring Shadows]
Mythical beasts eat shadows, ancient relics come to life, and a mirror-prison delivers judgment. Qin Shu is trapped in a coffin and sinks to the bottom of a lake. But after escaping with ease, he looks at the skeleton crushed beneath the coffin lid and says, “Looks like your coffin likes me better.”
The skeleton wails, “My coffin isn’t pure anymore!”
2. [Sacrifice to the Dead]
A sacrificial boy, a vengeful evil spirit, and a deadly nightmare. Qin Shu is struck by a demon and falls into an abyss. But after landing safely, he complains indignantly, “You were only supposed to pretend. Why did you take it seriously?”
The evil spirit replies plaintively, “Master, could you at least draw the talisman correctly first? A wrong talisman and incantation can make even a ghost lose control!”
3. [The Luck-Transferring Demon]
Defying fate, sharing a body with a demon, and suffering the backlash of misfortune. Qin Shu is hunted by the divine realm and his soul is destroyed. But after being reborn as a demon, he orders around a half-demon feared even by the divine realm, without a trace of shame: “I raised you!”
Ye Yan scoffs. “Hah. You’re useless. Why should I help you?”
But a month later...
The demons: “Your Majesty, he’s a demon too, and he can fly. You don’t have to carry him everywhere!”
Ye Yan, unruffled: “Protecting the weak is a noble tradition of the demon realm.”
The demons: “??? You mean Qin Shu, the man who single-handedly drove back the entire demon clan, is weak?”
Qin Shu: “No cuddling. Put me down.”
Novel blurb
Infinite-flow survival story. A tough, pretend-timid, dramatic gong (Li Bai) X A sharp-tongued, innocent-on-the-outside, scheming, dramatic shou (Lin Hang). Shou POV.
Also known as The Dramatic Duo’s Duel and Game Designer in the Escape World.
Lin Hang is accidentally caught up in a terrifying live-action game. He can only escape the game world by completing his missions. But unlike the other players, he plays the role of the game designer.
To complete his missions, Lin Hang has no choice but to blend in with the players, trembling with fear.
Seeing Lin Hang get through everything unscathed, the others can’t help but envy him:
Why don’t the school zombies bite you?
Why doesn’t the ghost woman kill you?
Why are you never picked in the lottery?
Lin Hang puts on a serious expression. “I’m too strong. They’re afraid of me.”
But the truth is...
Lin Hang: “Sorry, everyone. I raised the zombies, the ghost woman works for me, and my name isn’t in the lottery.”
But after he manages to scrape through N missions...
Lin Hang looks at Li Bai, the clingy human backpack wrapped around his leg, and wonders, “Where did this guy come from again?”
How is he even better at hiding than I am?
The same scenes and familiar plots play out over and over.
Only then does Li Bai realize that while he’d been carefully plotting against Lin Hang, he had already ensnared his own heart.
In the end, he can only offer his life with reverence: [This is the victor’s reward and the loser’s punishment]
World One: Everyone Fights Zombies
World Two: Monster Hunting on a Mysterious Island
World Three: Breaking Through with a Marriage Certificate
World Four: The Psychiatric Hospital List
World Five: A Fair Trade in Malice
tips:
An infinite-flow escape story with horror and suspense. (Most of it comes from the author’s imagination.)
Goofy humor with a dash of horror (actually, it’s goofy humor with just a tiny bit of horror).
The gong is a coward in front of the shou and will whimper cutely.
Theme: Staying alive is what matters.
When I came back to watch it, it was already over, and it was over.
Great! Congratulations on the completion, Sahuaヽ(^0^)?
