Escape from the Ground

*First-person narration, everyday coming-of-age? The setting is pretty loose, updates whenever I can, and the most important thing is that I enjoy writing it. Happyhappy~

When I was eight, I still liked sneaking over to the neighbors' house to watch the occasional episode of Kamen Rider on TV, marveling that such a creature could be so relentlessly positive.

By the time I was eleven, I was listening to hip-hop through my headphones and, a little dramatically, feeling the force of life.

So I went from being a poor kid to a poor kid who messed around with rap.

From a gloomy kid to a gloomy kid who loved writing songs.

From a foul-mouthed, cocky kid to a foul-mouthed, cocky kid who spoke in rhymes and rhythm.

Later on, the person who had told me countless times to be civil, optimistic, and positive looked at my extremely emo lyrics and fell into deep thought.

After thinking it over, he had his way with me and made me feel the force of life in a very real way.
