[Mole Manor TTRPG Module] The Tree of Uralos

The Tree of Uranus

I want to write a tabletop RPG module set in a manor inspired by Mo Zhuang, with lots of worldbuilding. It'll lean toward Call of Cthulhu, and should suit around four or five players. There's so much I want to add: probably three large maps, and maybe even secret-session or character-specific ability mechanics.

About combat: There'll definitely be combat rounds, and I'm planning a boss fight. But there's also a lot of puzzle-solving. Focusing on both could make the game experience awful... The brainy character is as fragile as they come, while the combat powerhouse is a little shrimp or something... The only solution is to hope the players divide up the work and cooperate clearly...

About the setting: It could be a modern manor or a futuristic one, but the original characters absolutely won't be major NPCs. This is just a module where everyone can play their own original characters...

About the premise: The main story doesn't actually take place inside the manor. The whole thing is really just some ideas I've had as an adult about Mo Zhuang.

Call of Cthulhu players who enjoy exploring the unknown should have a better time. Those who just want to experience the Mole Ship pairing might not get much out of it, because this is fundamentally a cosmic horror tabletop game!

I've started working on it. Just search for
