Portrait of Beauties

The most powerful man of the Celestial Clan is its Seventh Prince, Lu Yuntu. Cold-hearted and devious, he is hailed as Heaven's number-one lady-killer, making countless immortal maidens swoon. No one could have guessed that a man both loved and feared by so many would fall for Yuan Li, a little palace maid who can do nothing but play the zither.

The immortals: I'm so jealous of Yuan Li.

Yuan Li: I only like Zhang San.

Lu Yuntu: Actually, I'm Zhang San.

They thought sending the little palace maid down to the mortal realm to undergo tribulations would separate the two, but the Seventh Prince faked his death and went down with her. Right under the immortals' noses, the pair acted out a tale of a gifted scholar and a beautiful maiden, then returned to Heaven together. They took revenge on those who deserved it and seized the throne that was rightfully theirs. What could be more satisfying?

Theme: I long only for a pair of mandarin ducks, not to be an immortal.
