When the General Is Sent to Bring Good Fortune

Fifth Prince Song Nuan was born with delicate features and jade-white skin, naturally beautiful and the most handsome of all the princes. Unfortunately, he suffered from a strange illness that made him mad and foolish, and he also liked to bite people. The aging emperor was worried about his son. The Imperial Preceptor submitted a memorial: once the prince came of age and established his own household, choosing a good match to bring him good fortune would cure him. The emperor immediately issued an edict seeking a spouse for the prince. After a great victory in the war against the Rong in the northern frontier, General Qin Lang returned to the capital. He never expected that the first thing awaiting him would be an imperial decree arranging his marriage. Even more unexpectedly, the decree ordered him to bring good fortune to the supposedly mad and foolish Fifth Prince?! Qin Lang stared at the decree, murderous fury churning in his eyes, as terrifying as a blood-soaked demon. He gave a cold laugh and thought: Absurd! On their wedding day Song Nuan, a socially anxious man who had been transported here as a child, trembled all over, terrified by the grand ceremony. He secretly clenched his little fists: I-I have to hide! Qin Lang pushed open the bridal chamber door and found no one inside. His expression darkened. Just as he was about to call for someone to search, a loud crash suddenly came from beneath the bed! Suspicious, Qin Lang lifted the bed curtains and saw a bundle of white wrapped in a bright red wedding robe. It was a rare beauty! The little beauty was clutching his head, biting his lip and holding back tears as he tried to endure the pain. When he saw Qin Lang, terror immediately filled his tearful, wide eyes. Yet he forced himself to stop trembling, pressed a finger to his lips, and went, "Shh! Shh!" Qin Lang: ... Later, Qin Lang held Song Nuan and asked, "Are you still afraid of me?" Song Nuan shook his head with his eyes closed. His warm breath turned entirely into beads of sweat on Qin Lang's forehead... Content warnings: 1.
