December, Searching for Her

I wrote this in 2019, before signing a contract. It features a strong female lead, and the story isn't about romance for romance's sake. The heroine has her own things to do, and finds success in both her career and love.

At first, I only wanted to write a free novel. I didn't try to get on any rankings or charge for it. I never expected that once it was finished, people would casually repost and alter it, or that thieves would even replace my protagonists' names. I had no choice but to make it a paid novel. To do right by readers who support the original, I scrapped 2.3 million words and carefully revised over 900,000, including the free chapters. It's only on Jinjiang.

Jiang Shan is my beloved daughter. No matter how many years go by, I'll gladly devote the time and effort to developing her character. I don't know how to sum up her life accurately, but I hope you'll enjoy her story.

Also, this is a contemporary urban romance. If you've subscribed to nothing and are making things up to give me a bad rating by calling it historical romance, what is wrong with you? Get a hobby.

1. The novel unfolds over twelve months, each with a different story. The genius heroine is in control of everything, changing her secret identity and persona every month.

2. The male lead develops over time. He's a dog to everyone else, but sweet and gentle with the heroine. He's strong, capable, and manly in his own right. [He is extremely serious about romantic fidelity. If you can't relate, please read with caution.]

3. The plot is grounded in reality. The heroine is beautiful, strong, and tragic, with a firm moral compass, but she's no saint. She's calculating, sharp-tongued, and never lets a grudge go. She's strong in the main story; the tragedy lies in her past.
