Reincarnated as a Male Insectoid Doomed to Die Young [Insectoid]

Loran transmigrated into a novel about the insect race, becoming a minor character doomed to die: the Rose Duke of the Fapher Empire, who shared his name.

In the original story, the duke was an extremely frail male insect. His role was to bring the beautiful, strong, and tragic female-insect protagonist home from the slave den as his bride, then die at the right moment so she could use his inheritance to find happiness with the true male lead, the Crown Prince.

Loran: Is this plot really that lazy? What female insect could possibly be so charming that she could marry into wealth twice as a widow?

After meeting Shamil, Loran changed his mind: All right, I'm in.

The female insect he brought home was beautiful, tall and strong, and guarded in his silence. Loran saw scars covering his back and a deep knife wound on his lower abdomen. Shamil had chosen to slash his own reproductive cavity.

Loran gave Shamil a soft bed, delicious food, roses from the garden, and a tenderness and love that left him at a loss. For three years, Loran took great joy in looking after his clumsy female insect. Then, when his mission was complete, he peacefully closed his eyes in his sickbed.

He never expected that one day the System would beg and plead for him to go back, because the story's timeline had gone off the rails.

Five years after the Rose Duke's death, Shamil, now his widower, became an Imperial general known as "Blazing Fury." When the Crown Prince proposed to him before the court, Shamil, who should have gladly accepted, drew his sword and pointed its blade at the prince's throat.

"I will have only one male master."

He walked away amid astonished stares, then picked up a little insect child who looked eight-tenths like Loran from beside the mechanical carriage outside and hoisted him onto his shoulder. He never looked back.

[Gentle, capable, loving male lead x cold on the outside, warm on the inside, inarticulate, and extremely powerful love interest. The male lead spoils his partner. A swoon-worthy male lead. They love each other deeply.]

[Warning: Contains childbirth. No explicit description. The society depicted in the story does not reflect reality. Extreme fans of either partner, please refrain from reading.]

I wrote this entirely for my own tastes. It's a lighthearted, sweet romance. Any little angst is just there to set up their epic love. Kisses~
