The Medicine Seller and His Sword Collection

The clack of wooden sandals echoed, like a lingering note from the Heian period.

"...I'm just a medicine seller. I've recently taken on a long-term commission, that's all."

A certain sword with horns showing at its forehead looked at the hand held out to it.

"Want to come with me?"

From the splendor of Heian-kyo to the strange tales of the Taisho era, dynasties changed and all things passed.

A young man, as mysterious as a creature from an Eastern legend, carried a medicine box on his back and wandered through countless ages.

"When Form, Truth, and Reason are all present, that is when my Exorcism Sword is drawn."

"I'll leave the rest to you, everyone."

--The medicine seller, who prefers not to give his name.

P.S.

1. The medicine seller's experiences outside Mononoke include some author-invented details (such as Kogane).

2. The medicine seller has no Honmaru, only a sword registry. His relationship with the Temporal Administration is one of equals.

3. This combines quite a few anime series. How many depends on the size of my imagination.

That's all, 2022/07/01.
