[Dream of the Red Chamber] Untangling the Fateful Bond

The Lin clan of Gusu had held marquis titles for five generations. Its most prominent member was Lin Ruhai, who had placed third in the palace exam and was now the Imperial Salt Commissioner. He had few children, just two daughters and a son, but he was content.

Lin Xiao: "nods"

In her previous life, she was a shrewd, calculating top performer who had risen and fallen in the medical world. Now, she still remembered half of the old dream of Dream of the Red Chamber.

Those so-called old ties to the Four Kings and Eight Dukes should be cut off when the time comes. Living well as the Lin family is what truly matters!

[Before You Read]

1. Set in an imaginary dynasty, with a blended background inspired by Dream of the Red Chamber and Flowers in the Mirror.

2. I write for my own enjoyment. I have no interest in unsolicited criticism. The occasional mix of classical and modern prose is just my clumsy imitation. If you can't understand it, go back and read the classical Chinese in your required textbooks.

3. I chose romance because the setting involves marriage and descriptions of women being wed. I would rather write a story without a CP.

Theme: We all deserve to be treated gently by the world.
