Then, after the celebratory dinner following a concert, someone cornered him in an upstairs lounge and thoroughly ravished him. As he smoothed the wrinkles in Li Xiaodong’s shirt, the man asked, “You’ve been wanting this for a long time, haven’t you?”

Xu Yuan became famous in the piano world at a young age.

To win back his owner’s affection, Jiang Xiaoyu was full of enthusiasm.

Every day, he spent half an hour awkwardly using his phone to send his owner messages and ask how he was doing.

In the completely unfamiliar setting of a party, Jiang Xiaoyu instinctively sought his owner’s protection.

Clutching Mu Yan’s clothes, he pleaded pitifully, “I don’t like it here. Hurry up and take me home!”

Drunk, Jiang Xiaoyu let himself go, insisting on cuddles and hugs.

Mu Yan, who had once been completely opposed to the arranged marriage, felt his heart flutter.

Tipsy Jiang Xiaoyu followed Mu Yan home. As soon as the door opened, he expertly sprang onto Mu Yan’s bed and curled up beside the pillow.

Seeing the familiar move, Mu Yan blurted out, “Xiaobao?”

Back in what he considered his own territory, Jiang Xiaoyu returned to his former haughty, dignified cat-boss persona.

In a clingy voice, he said the most infuriating thing possible: “The great Cat King is going to sleep now. The human can leave.”

Mu Yan was so angry he nearly laughed. That clingy, enthusiastic behavior earlier had just been a kitten’s way of playing with a human.

Jiang Xiaoyu, swaying on his feet: “...When you adopted me, you said, ‘Pretend for five minutes, be happy for a lifetime.’ People who abandon cats deserve to be condemned!”

“Right! Condemned. But the terms for adopting a human are different.”

Mu Yan leaned close to Jiang Xiaoyu’s ear and gave it a gentle bite. “Are you sure you still want to stay by my side?”
