Ordinary office worker Yan Yang accidentally transmigrates into a cruel romance novel about a scumbag gong and a masochistic shou, a book he has never even read.
In the story, the cannon-fodder shou Yan Yang is a hugely popular celebrity, swimming in lucrative opportunities and doted on by his domineering CEO boyfriend.
But before long, the CEO boyfriend dumps him and falls in love with the eldest son of the richest family in the country, insisting that his relationship with Yan Yang was only an act.
Unable to take it, Yan Yang swallows a bottle of pills and winds up in the hospital...
Then comes the classic melodramatic-novel scene: I'll give you five million. Leave my son/boyfriend/son-in-law.
Yan Yang: I don't understand the world of the rich, but this deal is irresistible.
He thinks he'll happily take the money, leave this pack of scumbags behind, and live his best life alone.
But one persistent man keeps cornering him by the door, his voice low and enticing: You took the money, so why are you hiding? Having second thoughts?
Yan Yang: Seriously, you two are one scumbag and one masochist, and you want to have a tragic romance. Do you really have to drag me in to take the blame?
A dramatic, money-loving shou who wants no part of love VS a domineering, romance-averse workaholic gong...
Author's notes:
1. The shou transmigrates without the original body's memories, so he misunderstands the plot.
2. Both the gong and shou are career-focused. The gong and the rich heir used to be a couple.
3. I revised the blurb since I left things out before. Ahem, ahem. Please add this to your collection. A bow.
Theme: Love requires honesty between both partners.
