A Handbook for Raising Cats

- - [The Tech Geek and the Wild Blue Cat] On my seventeenth birthday, my parents, who were away doing research, gave me a cat. A "cat" covered in bone armor from head to toe, with a hole in its abdomen, fierce and unfriendly. I stared silently for a moment at the ferocious, blue, humanoid leopard baring its fangs. "...W-want a cat treat?" - - [The Bad Girl and the White Maine Coon] For my sixteenth birthday, I received a box of packages. When I opened it, a doll turned into a nearly two-meter-tall man in a blindfold who seemed like a pervert. He acted like a giant cat, sang me a birthday song, and even opened my birthday cake without permission. My fist kept clenching and unclenching. "If I hit you right now, that would definitely count as self-defense, right?" [The Uncrowned Queen and the Smiling Tiger] In early summer of the year I was about to come of age, I received news that a project run by a subordinate company had succeeded. As I looked at the brown-haired man summoned before me, restrained in an executioner's chair, my heart sank completely. Taking part in the company's power struggle was hard enough, and the man who had answered the summons was a tough opponent. ...But the plan had to go on, no matter what. I gave him the same practiced smile as always. "How about a deal, Lord Death?" A celebratory story for the October 2022 premiere of Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War. A Renaissance of tears from the old days. * The blurb is silly, but the story itself is in the chapters. There are three heroines, each with her own point of view, which will be indicated in the chapter titles. Each of the three heroines has her own main storyline and romantic pairing. * Please note: The story experiments with multiple plotlines and changes narrative person according to the viewpoint character. It has a partly original worldbuilding. The first arc features characters transported into the past, followed by a crossover anime journey. The world includes pseudoscience and Lovecraftian elements. * Overall, it's a fairly lighthearted romance and relationship-building story? (More or less.) Overpowered heroines, golden finger, and a warning for a plot that doesn't always make sense. Any out-of-character moments are on me. If none of that bothers you, come on in! Updates are irregular, and there are still plenty of plot holes to fill. (The author's self-awareness as the King of Pigeons.) Theme: On the lonely road, I'll walk with you.
