I Win Over the Demon Lord by Showering Him with Compliments

Qi Lian transmigrates into a book, becoming a cannon-fodder female character in a xianxia novel who is killed by the Demon Lord Huo Chongli right after her introduction. In the book, Qi Lian is a goddess sent by the Immortal Realm to curry favor with the Demon Lord. She is presented as a concubine, but in truth she is a pawn for Huo Chongli to humiliate and vent his anger on. The original Qi Lian goes to the Demon Realm’s main hall and says all the wrong things. Huo Chongli waves his sleeve, and not even her ashes are left. When Qi Lian arrives, Huo Chongli has just raised his arm. Knowing that in the next second she’ll be reduced to nothing, her legs give way and she collapses to the floor. Huo Chongli is taken aback by the so-called goddess. “Why have you come?” Trembling with fear, Qi Lian babbles, “For your beauty. Your Excellency is as elegant as a jade tree, with eyes like stars. You’re the most handsome man in the Six Realms.” Huo Chongli: ... Everyone in the Demon Realm: ... Everyone assumes that Qi Lian will surely meet a gruesome end for openly speaking disrespectfully to the Demon Lord. Qi Lian thinks so too. Unexpectedly, Huo Chongli not only spares her, but keeps her by his side day and night, granting her unparalleled honors. Everyone says the Immortal Realm must have raised quite the bewitching woman, one who has bewitched that terrifying Demon Lord into such delight. It’s downright creepy. Only Qi Lian knows that Huo Chongli, the great demon king of the rumors, is a narcissist and a voice enthusiast. He keeps her by his side because it makes it easier to hear her lavish praise. At first, Huo Chongli simply thinks her voice is clear, sweet, and soft, and that her flattery sounds far better than the hoarse voices of those demons. Later, Huo Chongli grows dissatisfied with the status quo and wants her to whisper sweet nothings in his ear. :) - Thanks to her skill at showering him with praise, Qi Lian’s standing in the Demon Realm rises steadily. She is practically second only to the ruler, like The Outcast. Someone resents her treatment and slanders her, claiming that she has a fiance in the Immortal Realm and is secretly passing information to them. Huo Chongli’s eyes darken, and his bloodlust grows stronger. Seeing an opening, the person launches into a tirade. “This woman is a seductive calamity...” Before he can finish, Huo Chongli crushes his head, splattering brains across the ground. Watching Qi Lian fall silent, Huo Chongli struggles to contain his fury. “Would the Immortal Realm have to be destroyed before you stop thinking about leaving?” Qi Lian: ??? That night, the white-bearded Immortal Venerable has his face pressed beneath Huo Chongli’s foot. Humiliated and indignant, he shouts, “We didn’t try to lure her back!” “She was born an immortal of yours, and she’ll die your ghost!” That one sentence keeps the Immortal Realm safe and sound. The white-bearded Immortal Venerable holds his crooked hairpiece in place, tears in his eyes. The Immortal Realm is truly cursed! It raised such a troublesome creature as Qi Lian! Qi Lian: ? Your account is gone. A sweet, soft-voiced little immortal who’s a pro at flattery x The strongest and most unhinged Demon Lord in the Six Realms Theme: None for now
