After Breaking Up With My Lover as Their Stand-In

My name is Min Niang. The "Min" means "pity." The person who gave me this name said that when they saw the deep scars and jagged cuts all over my face, they thought I must have been a dazzling beauty if not for those wounds. They pitied me, so they gave me this strange name. I don't really care. A name is just a name. This desolate, terrifying shore of the Bitter Sea hardly gets any visitors, and hardly anyone would call me by it anyway. Well, except for Nan Lu. He's a weirdo who loves coming to this deserted, haunted place to gossip with me. He tells me gossip from the Celestial Palace, the Demon Realm, and the Ghost Abyss. He talks about everything under heaven and knows it all. Then, at last, he leans mysteriously close and asks, "By the way, Min Niang, you spend every day sitting by the Bitter Sea without ever moving. Have you heard about the passionate love and bitter feud between the Heavenly Emperor, the goddess Zhi Xi, and the Demon Lord a thousand years ago?" His words jolted me right out of my nap. I glanced at him and didn't tell him that I knew about it, and knew every last detail. My name was part of that love and bitter feud a thousand years ago, though no one in later generations ever knew it. But fortunately, I've made peace with it. I don't want that name from a thousand years ago anymore. All I want now is to spend the rest of my life as the disfigured, pitiful Min Niang by the Bitter Sea, until I die. *Idea noted on 2021.11.13 *The hero has to win her back, and this is a nontraditional happy ending about an old flame rekindled *The story starts a thousand years later, and the male lead gets put through the wringer from the start *There will definitely be wish fulfillment and melodrama. There probably won't be much logic or common sense. *If you drop the story, you don't need to tell me. Theme: You reap what you sow.
