The Darkened Top's Cherished One

Before bed, Ruan Jiao read a novel titled Refusing to Marry Her Blind Husband. The male lead had the same name as him.

But the Ruan Jiao in the book had quite a story.

At thirteen, he fought viciously with his stepmother and stepsister, was kicked out of his wealthy family, and ended up homeless. The male lead's parents took pity on him, adopted him, and made him a companion for their only son.

Their son, Liang Cen, was sixteen at the time. A car accident took one of his eyes, leaving him silent, withdrawn, and insecure.

Ruan Jiao's arrival coaxed Liang Cen out of his dark room, and he gradually accepted him.

Liang Cen's parents also cherished him like their own son, and they all got along wonderfully.

That is, until they hinted that they wanted him to become Liang Cen's spouse. Ruan Jiao panicked.

He didn't like Liang Cen. He looked down on him for being blind in one eye and not handsome, and feared his family would make him a laughingstock.

To escape that fate, he secretly ran away with a pretty boy he'd only just met.

Liang Cen waited four years for him. He waited until his family went bankrupt, his mother went to prison, and his father killed himself, only to receive the cold corpse of Ruan Jiao, beaten to death by his boyfriend.

Abandoned by the entire world, Liang Cen, insecure, introverted, and sensitive, eventually turned to the dark side.

And Ruan Jiao transmigrated into the story on the very night he was supposed to elope with his abusive boyfriend...

Sensitive, insecure, and eventually darkening gong VS sunny, warm, adorable shou
