The Demoness

The demon race's supreme ruler, Si Qing, is more beautiful than the Flower God and more ruthless in a fight than the War God. She keeps the demons firmly under her thumb.

Eternal life among the demons is far too dull, so her greatest pleasure is going to the Ninth Heaven to toy with sanctimonious gods and avenge her mother.

But one day, she picked a fight with a god whose origins were extraordinary: Tuo Xiao, the Lord Emperor, an incarnation of spiritual consciousness born from the Ninth Heaven's divine tree, the first such being in a hundred thousand years.

Just then, the Lord Emperor descended to the mortal realm to undergo a tribulation. Si Qing, who had inexplicably lost her spiritual powers, was also swept down to the mortal world by the Heavenly Dao. One was the unfeeling master of a major cultivation sect's Peak of Ruthlessness; the other was a mischievous little flower demon who had infiltrated the immortal sect as an outer disciple.

After returning from his tribulation, Si Qing's spiritual powers multiplied. She summoned the demons to storm the Ninth Heaven and seek revenge on Tuo Xiao.

But there he was, a man who had always worn blue robes, now dressed in blazing red, his murderous aura as demonic as theirs. A withered flower rested in his palm as he challenged the gods and Buddhas filling the sky: "What if I insist on defying fate?"
