My Shopkeeper Lives a Simple, Honest Life

Main characters: Shi Qingfeng and Liang Fu

Twenty years ago

A nine-year-old boy hurried out of a small restaurant, just so he could bring delicious meals to the beggars and homeless people waiting outside.

The boy would always insist to his parents, "He isn't eating fast. He's just too hungry."

His parents were always deeply moved by his adorable explanation. This went on for a long, long time, until the small restaurant eventually went out of business. The boy who had always fed those who couldn't afford a meal was then subjected to all kinds of gossip. Everyone agreed that the restaurant must have closed because its kindhearted little boy had been far too generous.

One day, ten years later

The manager of the Xiangwei Inn, Shi, declared: "Any beggars or homeless people who come to my inn are welcome to enjoy the food we provide. We will continue to serve everyone. We ask only that you cherish your food as you eat your fill."

The manager's actions earned the love of the locals, who all called him their provider.

Manager Shi remained humble, saying he was unworthy of such praise.

Then, one day, a person dressed in strange clothes fell from the sky into the courtyard of Xiangwei Inn. After hearing about his good deeds, this person resolutely bestowed upon him a rare treasure.

But this treasure brought Manager Shi endless trouble...

Manager Shi had been living a smooth life, helping those in need. But with the treasure's arrival, he found himself experiencing one scene after another of wealthy, well-known people fawning over him and currying favor with him.

One day, Manager Shi erupted in a fury like never before!!

By then, the strangely dressed person had become his employee. Only then did he realize: "So my manager is honest and incorruptible. I'm in love."

The incorruptible Manager Shi and the upright Liang Fu
