The novel is complete. Please leave a rating in the lower-right corner. Thank you, everyone! Age gap / heroine falls in love after marriage / hero has been plotting for a long time / the second male lead gets his ashes scattered.
My other novel of the same type, a transmigration-into-a-book story about falling in love after marriage, [I Dumped My Fiance and Switched to a Sweet Romance Plot], is now available. The blurb is below.
Sui Huan transmigrates into a novel as a minor female character. She is friends with the male lead, Xu Siyi, but after the heroine reappears, a misunderstanding drives them apart.
Looking at the male lead, with his sunny, handsome looks that perfectly match her taste, Sui Huan starts plotting. Even if he and the heroine are destined to be together, she refuses to believe it. At the very least, she has the advantage of getting there first, so she might as well give it a shot.
Sui Huan wastes no time pursuing the male lead. Then one day, the heroine kicks her cat and injures its eye. Sui Huan goes to demand an explanation, with Xu Siyi also there. Caught between them, he blurts out:
"It's just a cat. What's the big deal?"
It was raining heavily that day. Sui Huan slapped him, and the rose-colored filter she'd had on him shattered into pieces.
*
The day she broke up with Xu Siyi, Sui Huan was stranded at a bus stop. A car stopped a few steps away, and a tall, elegant man walked over to her with an umbrella.
Sui Huan's mind was a muddle as she imagined all sorts of possibilities. But all he did was take her home.
After staying home sick for half a month, Sui Huan turned over a new leaf and accepted the blind date her family arranged. She set off down the path originally planned for the character, only to learn when they met that the man she'd happened upon that day was her intended, Zhao Weiqing, the current head of the Zhao family.
Supposedly, after the original character married him, the couple treated each other with respect but had no emotional ties. Sui Huan was perfectly happy with that arrangement too.
When Xu Siyi came to her full of regret, it was raining again. Sui Huan stood by the window, holding her cat and enjoying the sight of him soaked through and miserable. Zhao Weiqing draped a coat over her shoulders and asked, seemingly offhandedly:
"Aren't you going to see him? Standing outside in weather like this all afternoon is bound to make him sick."
Sui Huan nearly laughed. She replied dismissively, "He's just a man. What makes him think he's worth it?"
*
Rumor has it that Zhao Weiqing is cursed and ruthless. Before he even turned thirty, he was the only one left in the enormous Zhao family. Sui Huan doesn't know if she's uncovered a side of him no one else has seen, but apart from occasionally surprising her, Zhao Weiqing is impeccable in every way around her. A marriage alliance could hardly get better than this. She'd practically struck gold.
She often thinks that spending the rest of her life with him like this wouldn't be so bad.
But she doesn't notice that Zhao Weiqing's gaze is growing increasingly strange. Or perhaps their relationship was never as simple as a marriage alliance to begin with.
One day, after they have a fight, Sui Huan ignores him for several days. Zhao Weiqing, hurt by her cold shoulder, thinks she has easily given up on him too. In front of her, he drops his gentlemanly mask, grips her chin so she can't avoid him, and asks the question he's kept bottled up:
"Am I just another man to you, too?"
Five-year age gap. The blurb has already been screenshotted. A deeply devoted male lead who loves her to death and tries hard to hide it, but always lets something slip, x a spoiled heroine who loves boldly, doesn't realize she's loved, and likes to be direct.
Reading guide:
1. Both leads are virgins, one-on-one romance, 80% anti-piracy protection. The author is terrible at blurbs, so just read it, dears.
2. A sweet romance focused on the relationship. The heroine won't spend much time with the original male lead.
3. Please kindly point out any logical issues or professional inaccuracies. No unsolicited lecturing, but discussion is welcome.

Tan Hua transmigrates into a wealthy heiress with the same name. Born with a silver spoon in her mouth, she has only two troubles: the congenital heart condition she was born with, and her childhood sweetheart, her scumbag fiance.
Young Mr. He, He Weiqian, is a notorious playboy who resents the marriage arranged by his family. He's had countless girlfriends, sneers at Tan Hua, and treats her like an unwelcome guest. He might as well announce to the whole world that he doesn't want her as his fiancee. +
Then one day, he goes too far, and Tan Hua catches him in a steamy scene with another woman. The shock triggers her heart condition, and an ambulance takes her to the hospital.
Someone gleefully asks He Weiqian how he's going to explain himself. He ignores the strange feeling in his heart, exhales a cloud of smoke, and gives a dismissive smile, carrying on as usual.
*
Everyone thinks He Weiqian has nearly killed Tan Hua with anger, sending her halfway to the grave. Pale-faced in her hospital bed, she stares straight at the handsome, refined doctor beside her, her gaze intense and undisguised.
She has all the makings of a heroine. As soon as she transmigrated into the book, she was told that the aloof male lead would fall in love with her sooner or later. The System warned her that if she failed the mission, she would be sent back to her original world. So she dutifully follows the plot.
Tan Hua has a sweet romance script, and she couldn't care less about He Weiqian. Her target is He Weiyu. Before long, everyone in their social circle knows that Tan Hua, who once ignored He Weiyu and was determined to become his sister-in-law, has a change of heart after marriage and loves him to death.
He Weiyu looks cold and distant just now. Tan Hua has seen how passionate he can be in private. She waits until no one's watching and tugs at his clothes. He Weiyu pretends not to react, but once everyone else has gone quiet, he finally grabs her hand, struggling to hold back as he says:
"Last night, you said you liked me. And now you're already in a hurry to go find him?"
*
Unlike the rakish He Weiqian, He Weiyu is a thousand-year-old iceberg, with "keep your distance" written all over him. His romantic history is even cleaner than his white coat.
He Weiqian causes a huge mess, and the He family is worried it will damage the relationship between the two families. They don't know how to explain it, so Tan Hua seizes the chance to change her mind and switches her intended from He Weiqian to He Weiyu.
It's no easier than forcing He Weiqian to marry her, but unexpectedly, He Weiyu rushes home from the hospital for this very reason. A red mark on his neck is barely visible beneath his white shirt. Without much hesitation, he agrees.
No one knows that he has begged Tan Hua for two lifetimes. He would do anything to keep her by his side. In this life, he finally has a chance to lead her step by step into loving him. Even knowing she says whatever comes to mind, he still hopes that maybe, just maybe, some of it is sincere.
Later, when the truth comes out and Tan Hua learns the whole story, He Weiyu, usually so reserved and proper, trembles all over. His words are gentle but merciless. "I will never let you go."
"Tan Hua, why don't you take a look at me?"
"I'm much easier to win over than He Weiqian. Just crook your finger, and I'll give you anything."
Theme: Only when both people are moving toward each other can they have a beautiful romance.
Although, you can't drink and drive
I answered for Huanhuan: No! Yep!!
Why are you locked up every day?
Finally unlocked, what did the author write?
The next one is locked OvO
Can there be less sub-CP plot?
It feels like Zhao had a crush on Zhao in his previous life, but the heroine just followed the plot.
Why should we use the word "maternal wife" instead of "wife"...
I actually really want to read this story, but the reason it's a bit hard to stick with is the writing, which really needs to be improved.
555 Want to see the cub episode
