Perched on a Branch

[Blurb]

Song Xia was a dying peach tree, saved by Xie Zhi, the immortal who guarded the Sacred Tree.

She cultivated hard until she took human form. She told him tales of the mortal world and painted beautiful landscapes, bringing every lovely thing she could to him.

Five years later, the Sacred Tree was about to fall, and demons ran rampant.

Song Xia's cultivation was gravely damaged as she fought to protect the immortal realm. While she was weak, Xie Zhi cut her down with his sword.

She turned back in disbelief, only to see his cruel eyes.

When she awoke again, Song Xia discovered she had been reborn as a mortal woman. Not only was she born into a wealthy family, she was also engaged to be married.

Beneath a peach tree, someone stood holding an umbrella.

The man reached out to her. "Our wedding day has arrived. I've come to take my wife home."

Song Xia looked at his familiar face and asked, "Who... are you?"
