We Got Our Happy Ending After I Picked Up a Short-Tempered Demon Lord

[Blurb]

Little koi fairy Pei Yu is blessed with good luck, and whenever danger strikes, a heavenly general comes to her aid.

She has thought of countless ways to repay her benefactor, never expecting to run into his enemy instead.

The first time they meet, the moonlight is clear and bright.

The man’s wet hair clings to his collar as he glances sideways at her. “You’re just a lowly little demon. How dare you come near me?”

Pei Yu reaches out to help him, not forgetting to remind him, “Treating others kindly is a fine virtue.”

At the Cleansing Festival, she is organizing portraits of her benefactor.

The man scoffs again. “So what if he’s a celestial god? It’s not as if I’ve never been one.”

Pei Yu looks at him with concern. “...It’s not even dawn yet. Go back to sleep.”

One day, with the breeze mild and the sky clear, the man frowns. “Why do you keep bringing up that celestial god?”

Pei Yu counts the reasons on her fingers. “He’s handsome, skilled in martial arts, and most importantly, he’s my benefactor.” Her eyes sparkle as she chatters on.

The man sighs softly. “You fool. I’m the one who saved you...”

Demon Lord Chen Yang is known for his foul temper and has never liked the weak.

Until one day...

He returned from Nanling Pool with a little koi demon by his side.

Her cultivation was shallow, and she loved to chatter. She talked nonstop all the way there.

The Demon Lord clenched his jaw and said nothing for a long time.

His attendant was horrified. “We’re doomed! His lordship is about to lose his temper again!”

But Chen Yang only smiled. “You must be tired from talking. Have another piece of candy cake.”
