So What If I'm Useless?

The novel "Married to a Living Ancestor" is currently updating...

The hottest topic in Heng'an City lately:

The notorious Second Princess, with a child from her previous marriage, has married a thirty-eight-year-old marquis who has been ill for years.

One has a ruined reputation, the other is old and sickly.

They do seem well matched.

Everyone was waiting to see them become a laughingstock.

But then...

Tsk, that's got to sting.

A Fu has a mother with a terrible reputation, but her mother dotes on her. So A Fu has grown into a troublesome little "good-for-nothing." Then the Empress Dowager used a marriage decree to "banish" her and the Second Princess to the marquis's residence, where A Fu began her forced "reform."

Rumor had it that Lu Qi was frail and old.

But can someone tell her who this extraordinarily handsome man is, strong enough to hold both her and her mother at once? He can ride and shoot, and he's gentle and rich...

Scene: The Second Princess's Creditor Comes Knocking

Second Princess: You only have yourself to blame for not giving me money.

Lu Qi: Oh, so this is my fault now?

Second Princess: Who else could it be, A Fu? She's still little and needs to grow. I can't exactly stop her from eating, can I?

A Fu, blamed for no reason, sneezed.

Scene: A Fu Is Mistreated at the Academy

Lu Qi: It's just kids squabbling. No big deal.

The Second Princess had already grabbed a knife and rushed over.

Lu Qi: Hey, you should at least bring more people with you!

A Fu sniffled and slurped up a mouthful of rice noodles.

Scene: A Matchmaker Comes to Propose to the Lu Family

She was thrown out before she even made it through the door.

Second Princess: Go on, try setting your sights on him again.

Lu Qi: I'd like to see who dares take my daughter away.

A Fu, destined to die alone, gazed up at them in a daze.

P.S. A slice-of-life story with a slow build.

Theme: Love life.
