Chaomu has loved two people in his life. The first was Luo Ye, whom he parted from when he was eighteen. That day, the sun blazed overhead as the wind swept across the land, stirring tender grass and fallen leaves. They left the city of Binjiang, where Chaomu had been born and raised for eighteen years, without even saying goodbye.
As he left, Chaomu didn't look at Luo Ye once. He believed Luo Ye hated him, so he went back to his parents' hometown, Haicheng.
There, he became a student at Haicheng High School. At the saddest point of his life, at eighteen, he accidentally got into a fight with the school bully from the West Building. He thought he would end up black and blue, but Qin Yu happened to pass by and saved him.
As they spent more time together, Qin Yu gradually grew interested in this transfer student who had appeared out of nowhere. Before long, he resolved to protect the delicate, timid boy for the rest of his life. But their happy days didn't last. After leaving a letter in reply, Qin Yu also left Chaomu. What Qin Yu didn't know was that he was the second person Chaomu had loved. That day, the letter contained only three words: "I'm sorry." The words Chaomu had never managed to say, "I love you," were missing.
