After a Max-Level Swordmaster Became a Pretty-Faced Celebrity

*Blurb: Li Yao, once the foremost sword cultivator of the immortal sects and a master at catching ghosts and subduing demons, opens her eyes to discover she's entered a badly concluded, melodramatic wish-fulfillment novel. Worse, she's become the true daughter of a wealthy family, a minor character who was abandoned as a baby and raised elsewhere. In the original novel, Li Yao, the real daughter, was always a foil for the heroine, Li Zi, the fake daughter. After spending more time with her, her wealthy biological parents gradually find her ill-mannered and think she can't compare with Li Zi, who is both elegant and a top-tier celebrity. The entertainment industry also says she doesn't have what it takes to make it, that she's nothing but a pretty face, and that she's worlds apart from Li Zi, despite their shared surname. When she thinks about the plot to come, in which she falls out with her biological father, gets almost no acting opportunities, and eventually gets driven out of showbiz and forgotten... Newly arrived Li Yao says, "Oh, are you telling me what to do now?" Who needs wealthy parents or a melodramatic minor-character script? Isn't it much better to shine on your own and build a career? Soon, the people in the entertainment industry begin to discover a whole new world: This cool young woman who can crush a snake with one hand and wield a stick like a sword... This goofy young woman who stays calm in a supernatural script and can even serenade an NPC with a suona... This ethereal young woman who talks about slaying demons and protecting the Dao, yet tells her viewers to believe in science... Is she actually real?! The entertainment industry before: Trash, get out of showbiz! Stop riding on our Zizi's coattails! The entertainment industry now: Sob, sob, sob. I love this all-around amazing sister! Don't be so hung up on her gender! [Read This First~] * An all-powerful golden finger is a must in this no-CP story starring a strong heroine. Don't read if that's not your thing. * This is a writing exercise, so the pacing is slow and the story is messy. I wrote it without thinking too hard. If you criticize me, I'll bite you. I've got strong teeth. * Showbiz + modern urban supernatural events, so there will be horror scripts. * No CP, no CP, no CP! Theme: Take charge of your own life
