After Giving Up My Cambridge Place to Attend a Sorcerer School, My Younger Brother Saved the World for Me

She could speak at one month old, had mastered basic arithmetic, reading, and writing by the age of two, and received an exceptional offer of admission from Cambridge at twelve. That was Saiki Sorami, an utterly ordinary IQ 218 super-genius girl. She called herself ordinary mainly because, after turning three, she never managed to beat her younger brother, Saiki Kusuo. Kusuo was a flawless, superpowered being of an entirely different order, and after he was born, Sorami made defeating him the goal she worked toward. At twelve, Sorami was about to graduate from elementary school and had received an offer from Cambridge. She should have spent two years struggling to beat her brother, realized it was impossible, and then headed to Britain to study. Instead, she hit a turning point in her life when a dark creature so hideous it made her sanity meter plummet suddenly appeared before her. After investigating, she learned that the novel, uniquely ugly things were called “curses,” and that Kusuo, who had no “cursed energy,” couldn’t see them. And so Saiki Sorami understood: her research had been going in the wrong direction all along. Sorami: This time, I’ll use “cursed energy” to fight “psychic powers.” I’m absolutely going to beat my little brother Kusuo! Then, as the victor, I’ll make him let me touch him, hug him, and do all kinds of things! Saiki Sorami, later known to the new generation of jujutsu sorcerers as a nightmare, officially skips ahead and enrolls at Jujutsu High. With the enthusiastic help of her friendly classmates, she spends her school years researching how to defeat psychics…and how to defeat powerful curses. Sorami’s classmates, the strongest Six Eyes user, the strongest Pokémon Master, and a genius at the Reverse Cursed Technique: Don’t come near us! –– In this story, Saiki Sorami is a gender-swapped version of Saiki Kusuke from The Disastrous Life of Saiki K. Her personality has been changed somewhat, but overall she’s similar to the original: a high-IQ sister-complex genius. Kusuo, meanwhile, has a subtle sister complex. I just want to see what sparks fly when Geto’s “ordinary people are monkeys” theory clashes with Kusuke’s “everyone except my brother and family are monkeys” theory. In the original story, Kusuke already destroyed the world once for his brother in 2014…I’ve always believed you should beat villains at their own game and leave them nowhere to turn. Geto, you won’t get through your summer of suffering this time. Instead, all five years at Jujutsu High will probably be true misery. Hence the other titles for this story: The Disastrous Daily Life of Jujutsu High’s DKJK and Did I Make a Mistake by Promoting Technological Development in the Jujutsu World? #Sorami enrolls at Jujutsu High at thirteen, sticking to the genius who skips grades and starts school early setting. #Basically no romance. If you still have those worldly desires after finishing the main story, I’ll try writing some. #The updates are more frequent than for my other stories, but still irregular. I don’t accept complaints about sensitive content or gifts, and this won’t be contracted. I’m a free bird. Theme: Absurdity can save the world.
