A Body of Madness [Reborn]

People in the capital say that Xie Zhou, the exceptionally talented second young master of the Xie family, was so heartbroken by some woman that he swore to enter the Buddhist clergy.

After much earnest persuasion, Xie Zhou merely resigned from office, shut himself away at home, and refused to see anyone.

The noble young ladies of the capital all wept when they heard, lamenting the second young master's deep devotion and secretly condemning the unworthy woman.

Xiao Yuan, who had fled all the way to the frontier to avoid Xie Zhou, could no longer endure the anguish after hearing the news. He raced back to the capital at full speed.

He found Xie Zhou lying weakly in bed, his face deathly pale, yet still enduring the pain.

Xiao Yuan clasped Xie Zhou's hand and said in a hoarse voice, "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry... I was wrong."

No one knew that before Xiao Yuan came back, Xie Zhou had been enjoying a military strategy book, with a bowl of glistening grapes on the table. Smiling at the person beside him, he had said, "Fan those flames even higher. Make absolutely sure the general hears about this."

At first, General Xiao Yuan simply thought Second Young Master Xie was incredibly amusing. He always went out with a crowd of servants, and if he so much as got a bump or a scrape, the whole Xie household would be in an uproar. What a precious treasure.

Later, he thought, What kind of treasure is he? He's clearly a porcelain doll.

But he couldn't scold him or hit him. What choice did he have but to cherish him with all his heart?

Xie Zhou had a secret. He liked Xiao Yuan so much that he was willing to use himself as a weapon to ensnare Xiao Yuan. He would give up even his life, as long as he could win him over.

Xiao Yuan: "Young Master, you're practically killing me."
