The Frenzied Savior

[Main story complete. Bonus chapters will be updated on Saturdays and Sundays.] Coming soon: The Mage Archives / A Starry Fantasy Collection /

In Star Calendar Year 67, the brilliant scientist Fu Qingya, whom all of humanity had fought to protect, developed an antidote to the "Spirit-Erasing Virus" deployed by the A48 star system. Using his entire genetic sequence as a catalyst, he sacrificed himself to save the last surviving humans on Earth.

With the virus raging and his homeland gone, Fu Qingya had spent decades alone. He thought he would finally return to his roots in death, but unexpectedly passed through a rift in space and time, returning to sixty-eight years earlier.

It was the year before the people of the A48 star system deployed the virus to wipe out Earth's population and plunder its resources. That year, the first signs of disaster had only just appeared.

That year, Fu Qingya was still a cold, withdrawn high schooler, obsessive to the point of madness.

Luo Mingyuan had never met anyone as eerily intelligent and utterly insane as Fu Qingya. Though he was barely more than a child, he repeatedly appeared at the scenes of high-risk cases, his elegant, frenzied demeanor as precise as a machine, methodically turning every dire situation around.

The boy took a snow-white scalpel and casually dismantled the parts of a strange machine, rescuing a young child. His pale lips moved as he recited strings of precise numbers.

"He's a genius and a madman."

Luo Mingyuan's colleagues at the police station once told him, with both admiration and alarm.

At first, Luo Mingyuan thought so too.

Until the aliens invaded and monsters ran rampant. Fu Qingya led his army of robots and single-handedly defended Earth. Only then did Luo Mingyuan understand.

It was the anguished cry of a hero, quietly spilling out as he sacrificed himself and desperately sought a sliver of hope in the face of utter despair.

From then on:

Through fields of blades and seas of fire, I'll walk with you.

Through the smoke and fire of war, I'll bear it with you.

1. My take on science fiction: it's all fantasy, made-up nonsense told with a straight face.

2. Protagonist is the top.

[Coming Soon] The Mage Archives

In April of Summer Calendar Year 3202, an enormous rift appeared in the sky. A planet made entirely of machinery faced Earth from beyond a transparent, jelly-like membrane.

In August, several mechanical cubes forced their way through the membrane and crashed onto Earth. All kinds of bizarre rules invaded with overwhelming force. Every day, a hundred people were dragged into a deadly livestream game called The Abyss. If those hundred people reached a death ending, a city would become a nest of horrors.

Once the last safe haven on Earth was swallowed by the domain of the horrors, humanity would become playthings for the mechanical planet.

In 3204, nearly half the nation's territory had fallen. Despair, fear, bloodlust... The darkest sides of human nature were laid bare. Humanity teetered on the brink of collapse, and an invisible campaign of violence against the "weak" began.

Yu Xinglan was a frail, withdrawn young master, cherished and protected by the Yu family as he grew up. He was also the only "weakling" selected for the seven hundred and seventy-seventh game. From the start, millions of people targeted and despised him.

During the game, the "Duo'e" rule was triggered by accident, and ninety-nine contestants died on the spot. Just as everyone thought Earth was about to lose another city, a cat-shaped image flashed by and a five-pointed star formation appeared. Yu Xinglan stood among the stars, stepping down from the heavens. With a single golden card, he forcibly sealed the bizarre rule and won the game.

From then on, the star known as Yu Xinglan began to shine over the entire Earth.

He came riding the stars, destined to reach the summit and claim the crown.

After being selected for The Abyss, Yu Xinglan died suddenly from exposure to the bizarre aura and unexpectedly transmigrated into a high-dimensional magical world. There, he became the new king of the Star Tower Realm, a nation on the verge of destruction.

Through the painstaking lessons of the star-system mages and their wholehearted protection, even to the point of sacrificing themselves, the withdrawn and timid Yu Xinglan finally came to understand.

He grasped the "Magic Contract" and used his natal Star Tower as a sacrifice to forge The Mage Archives. The heroes who had died for the Star Tower Kingdom were recorded in its pages, granting them eternal life. They could return to the kingdom and fight alongside Yu Xinglan once more.

From then on, the Star Tower Kingdom embarked on a fantastical age of progress, ultimately becoming the only nation in the magical world.

In Star Tower Year 903, Yu Xinglan, wearing the Crown of All, suddenly returned to his original world.

Holding The Mage Archives, Yu Xinglan looked at the bizarre rules that had devastated his home and sneered as he drew a punishment card from the archives.

"With the stars as my witness, I sentence you to be torn apart by chariots in nine lifetimes."

The arrogant horror was sealed inside the golden card by starlight, then cracked apart across the card with a sharp snap.

Ling Yiyun, the Xia Kingdom's team captain who turned the tide in the second game of The Abyss, was a wild black wolf who bore the hopes of the entire world yet loved nothing more than going mad, risking his life, and living without restraint.

In every game, he delighted in dancing gracefully in the face of despair, savoring the pain at the edge of a blade.

Then one day, the badly injured Ling Yiyun stumbled into Yu Xinglan's arms and was mistaken for a stubborn, beautiful, tragic soul. Yu Xinglan carefully protected him.

The mad Ling Yiyun suddenly became the "quiet and unassuming" poor, honest man at Yu Xinglan's side.

Reading Guide:

1. The main focus is on the characters' work. The protagonist is the top.

2. A (pseudo-)withdrawn, genuinely fragile, top-tier martial mage with an exceptionally powerful body, a beloved top who has the support of a hundred royal mages and cheats his way to victory; and a reckless, life-risking, thick-skinned and shameless maniac in public, but a taciturn, honest, reliable bottom after being betrayed.

Theme: Even in the face of despair, you can turn the tide. Courage and perseverance are timeless wisdom.
