I Opened a Haunted House in the Human World

The Underworld has fully integrated its affairs with the world of the living, bringing both under shared, digital management.

Keeping up with the times, Bai Qiqi opens a haunted house in the human world. It's tiny, but extraordinarily popular, ranking first on a certain review app's sales, popularity, and rating charts year-round.

A competitor: They must be faking their numbers!

A review vlogger: There's no haunted house in the world that can scare me to tears!

Onlookers: The place is so small, they probably only have two or three employees. Do they take turns playing all the roles?

Later, they all go and experience it for themselves.

The competitor lets out a cold hiss: Now I know why my business went under. Do you accept outside investment?

The review vlogger weeps uncontrollably: Waaah, Mom, it turns out there really is a haunted house in this world that can scare me to tears. It's so freaking real!

The onlookers drop their jaws: Who knew their NPCs would be headless, carrying their own heads and chasing people! And what on earth is that ghost floating on the ceiling?!

Reading the reviews on the app, Bai Qiqi says: The head they're carrying is a realistic prop, and the ghost on the ceiling is suspended on a wire. If I explain it like that, will you... believe me?

[Bonus Scene]

Bai Qiqi, an agent of the Underworld, opens a haunted house so ghosts can vent their grudges and be reincarnated sooner. Hey, it works pretty well!

The Underworld's annual Outstanding Employee Awards.

"This year's outstanding employee is... Shen Lin! Let's give him a round of applause!"

Bai Qiqi, who had been all ready to accept her award: ? That name sounds familiar!

The original upcoming story was "When a Max-Level Ghost King Got a Broke Ghost's Script." I changed the premise a little. It's an occult fantasy story.
