Reborn as a Cat in the 1990S, I Want to Work for My Country

The special operations captain Qin Xiao was gravely wounded and on the brink of death during a mission when a tiger carried him back to the mountain base. They say the guard on duty was lured out that day by a particularly beautiful Persian cat, and that's how he found Captain Qin. When this rare tale spread through the base, the whole place was in an uproar. Bai Xiaxia had been rather troubled since she turned into a cat. She could understand animal speech, eat fruit, and catch fish, but none of it helped: her animal friends didn't eat cooked food. For half a year, she hadn't had a bite of cooked meat, and she was going crazy from the bland diet. After careful consideration, she decided what was best for her life as a cat: becoming a house cat, with a human servant to look after her. Finding a suitable servant wasn't easy, though. There was no security in life, and the risk of ending up a stray was high. So she found herself a secure job, working for the state. Reader's guide: 1. This story is half cat life and half crime-solving. There are lots of everyday scenes and interactions with all kinds of little animals. It's not a fast-paced crime-solving story, so don't read it if that's not your thing. 2. The romance only begins once the heroine becomes human. There are romantic scenes when she's an adult, but none while she's still a child. 3. A cozy, lighthearted cat fairy tale.
