A Bright Future Awaits You

Cheng Ning was an obscure, flop-tier actress, as netizens called her. She had transitioned from modeling to acting, and just as her career was about to take off, online abuse nearly drove her out of the industry. From then on, she turned down all promotional activities that paired her with other celebrities. She didn't even attend the livestream for her new show's finale. The fans of the Cheng Ning and Xie Yu pairing, "Making It Happen," were crushed. Every day, they survived on a breath of sweet air provided by fan editors on one video site, or went to the other star's Weibo account to scrutinize every post for hints of their relationship. When they could barely hold on any longer, an "insider" finally shared some news: Cheng Ning and Xie Yu were about to appear on the same variety show. But before the "Taro Paste" fans could celebrate, a major fan debunked the rumor with an irrefutable reason: Xie Yu had once said he would never appear on any variety show, and he was a man of principle who never went back on his word. Cheng Ning thought so too, until the day filming began. The production team claimed the budget was tight and the two of them would have to share a car, then drove them to a residential complex they hadn't visited in a long time. The person who got into the car seemed hardly changed, except that his voice no longer held the warmth it once had. "Don't read too much into it. I just want to see how people who claim they're too busy to even eat manage to stay alive." - "I love you." "That's a wrap." "I know. That's why I said I love you." People say actors have no feelings. Of all the thousand things I say, only a hundred are true. "I love you" is one of them. I'll go wherever you go, and climb to the top with you. * Xie Yu x Cheng Ning: Making It Happen * Couple name: Taro Paste * No relation to anyone else, please don't project onto real people. Making this for love. Theme: If you want something, you have to fight for it yourself.
