Story blurb
[1]
Everyone at the bureau knows Captain Lu has two major rules when it comes to dealing with people: first, stay away from women; second, don't take on rookies.
And yet this new girl follows him around like a little tail, calling him “Captain Lu” all day and insisting he take her on as a disciple.
Everyone laments that no matter how capable or beautiful she is, she'll still end up heartbroken because she “can't judge character.” Then, for some reason, the girl suddenly comes to her senses and draws a clear line between them.
The day they parted ways, the rain came down harder than the day Yiping went to ask her father for money.
Lu, the man who keeps women at arm's length, tells everyone to stay away, would rather bleed or die than bow his head, stands in the rain with his head lowered, pleading. He looks like a different person.
The onlookers haven't even recovered from this astonishing change when a frigid glare sweeps over them. It's the same old Devil Lu: “What are you looking at? Never seen a man chase his wife before?”
“...”
Well, he's got some nerve.
[The cool, arrogant Captain Lu, who is invincible because he's even more fearless than a fugitive, and has a terrible temper × The sweet, clueless, timid policewoman, who worries every day that she'll suddenly become a widow because her other half is so reckless]
P.S. See the author's note in Chapter 1 for the reading guide.
[Mystery novel coming soon: Solve Cases, Rise in Rank, and Win the Emperor's Grandson]
After Luo Yang dies, she transmigrates into a book and is reborn.
System: You have two identities. On the surface, you're a supervisor in the Weaving Bureau. In reality, you're a member of the Duo Yun Guard.
Luo Yang: A double agent? I'm familiar with that.
Luo Yang rubs her hands eagerly: So what do I do now?
The System glances at the troops closing in from several miles away. “Oh, I forgot to mention: your identity was exposed before you arrived. Your mission now is to survive.”
Luo Yang: “...”
-
After returning to the Duo Yun Guard, Luo Yang loses her taste for adventure and hopes to coast in her low-ranking post until retirement. But competition in the Duo Yun Guard is fierce, and challengers keep coming one after another.
First they challenge her to a fight, then to solve a case. Once the case is solved, she gets promoted. Her promotion brings more people looking to fight her and hand her another case.
Other people: “The foolish old man moves mountains, and his descendants will carry on without end.”
Her: “Solve cases, rise in rank, and watch the money roll in without end.”
Later, Luo Yang rises to the rank of Commander. On the day she receives her title and comes to pay her respects, the man steps out from behind the screen and looks at her, his eyes filled with a tenderness she's never seen before. “You've suffered all these years for my sake.”
Luo Yang, who has no idea how she ended up in this position: “?”
~
Bonus scene:
A criminal leaps out from the roadside and charges straight at Cen Ji, only to be struck down by a Duo Yun blade thrown from behind.
Luo Yang appears unhurriedly, playing with the blade's sheath. She raises an eyebrow. “Lord Cen, do you think I'm impressive?”
Cen Ji's cold face turns red, then white, then red again. “You...”
He sweeps his sleeve, drags her inside, and slams the door. “Come on, then.”
Luo Yang: “?”
Theme: The truth may arrive late, but it is never absent.
The following is my personal opinion, don't comment if you don't like it
The heroine can't be said to be a white-eyed wolf. People's emotions cannot be completely controlled by themselves. It can only be said that they can control their behavior but not their emotions. Moreover, the heroine has already planned to stay away from them after knowing the truth. In fact, I think the author handled the ending very well. I don't know if there will be a new story in the future, but it is a better way to deal with it at this ending.
Hmm... So the ending of this emotional line is a bit hard to understand.
Is the ending a deliberate foreshadowing? That female college classmate is very suspicious, and the lady who jumped off the building
Will there be any new extras?
I watched it with great fascination. It's very good. Come on.
In fact, this ending is quite good! I hope they are each happy!
What a pity that Dr. Ye...
The heroine is really tough. As I said before, all her family members are dead.
Did the heroine go to university abroad? Is there a typo here?
