Li Yuan was on his way up the mountain to visit a family in need when a landslide struck. By accident, he transmigrated to the impoverished Land of the Abyss.

Looking at the Abyssal Elves, gaunt and malnourished, Li Yuan rolled up his sleeves. "Poverty relief? No problem. First, we need to develop farming, animal husbandry, and manufacturing based on local conditions."

And so, the rocky cliffs filled with clusters of sweet fruit, the streamsides were dotted with pens holding plump white fish, and the wine brewed by the elves became a hit across the continent. The Land of the Abyss finally threw off the shabby hat of poverty.

The Abyssal God, newly awakened, licked his paws with satisfaction and decided to make this outsider elf his worshipper.

The continent was divided into seven territories, each guarded by a god. Legend had it that, beginning several hundred years ago, the gods abandoned the mortals and fell into an eternal slumber. The continent then plunged into endless conflict.

Until the arrival of Emperor Li Yuan.

The songs of traveling minstrels drifted on the spring breeze, praising the emperor for leading the Abyssal Elves out of their barren land and, at last, unifying the continent.

Li Yuan set down his glass of milk with an expressionless face as a group of fluffy little creatures rushed toward him. I was just working to relieve poverty, and happened to open a daycare for gods along the way.
