Top-Tier Star Stylist

Eighteen-year-old Tong Mei dropped out of high school. She spends her days scraping by in Hengdian, taking odd jobs and working as an extra. After her soul is replaced, Tong Mei uses her nimble hands to turn the fashion world upside down. She becomes a legendary film and television makeup and styling artist, and single-handedly brings the beauty of Huaguo to the heights of international fashion. But even more striking than her craft, skill, and aesthetic sense is her tendency to take everything seriously, and to call people out. A beauty influencer: "I'm going to try a no-filter, bare-faced look. Time to see how good I really am." Tong Mei: "Can you take off the filter?" An overseas skincare brand: "Iron-style wrinkle removal. We'll give you back your youthful glow." Tong Mei: "Maybe you should familiarize yourself with advertising laws?" A cosmetic surgery clinic: "Eyes too small? Want to look prettier? Come to us." Tong Mei: "I can make your eyes bigger with my bare hands, with no side effects." A career-focused story about the makeup and styling industry, in the feel-good genre. It is expected to begin in the year 2000 in a parallel-world setting. Companies and brands won't directly correspond to real ones, though there will be traces of them. Many details are original inventions. Theme: True beauty comes only from confidence and self-discipline.
