Professional Grave Sweeper

In 2099, birth rates around the world continued to fall. Medical technology was advancing rapidly, but progress in technology-assisted reproduction remained slow.

Some people died young, while others lived to be a hundred or more.

No matter when they passed away, those who left no descendants would have no one to tend their graves.

Some people didn't believe in an afterlife or reincarnation...

Fu Bo did, because he had seen the world after death and the links between cause and effect.

To comfort the loneliness of departed souls, he built a little app that crossed between the worlds of the living and the dead: Merit +1

Every day, he received all kinds of requests: tending graves, hanging funeral banners, burning joss paper...

The clients were both dead and alive. They all wanted the same thing: to give the departed something to look forward to in the underworld.

Until he met Wang Po. He wasn't a client. He wasn't even human. He had only one wish: to find someone to eat.

Fu Bo looked especially delicious...
