My Years as a Mountain Lord

Le Zheng Qing, hopeless at farming, transmigrated one day and became the leader of a mountain in a poor, remote region.

Her father had lost the contest for the position of Grand Mountain Chief and been exiled to a lesser mountain. Then he died of sheer frustration, leaving her with a group of naive subordinates, all old, weak, sick, or disabled.

To make matters worse, they were shut out of the mountain.

Le Zheng Qing, who had always been too laid-back to lift a finger, sighed and was forced to bind herself to the Learning System. Every day, it made her study agricultural knowledge, and she led her naive followers up the mountain to terrace the slopes, plant crops and mulberries, fire bricks and build houses, raise silkworms and weave cloth, and build bridges and divert water...

She turned a mountain that had been little more than wilderness into a well-managed home.

When she heard that local tycoons were using their power to oppress the villagers, her naive followers decided to rob the rich and help the poor. Instead, they kidnapped Qin Yu, a scholar on his way to take the imperial exams.

Looking at their empty food supplies and faces so hungry they could swallow an ox, Le Zheng Qing was furious.

"Rob the rich? Where are the rich? Are you sure you haven't just been helping the poor?"

With no other choice, Le Zheng Qing increased their study workload and led the villagers toward prosperity.

Before long, their group grew so large that it seemed ready to take over the entire county.

Later, the Grand Mountain Headquarters sent people to crush their arrogance. Instead, they saw the long-lost Mountain Heir Qin Yu, with a cherry in his mouth and his clothes in disarray, being kicked out of Le Zheng Qing's room.

The people from the Grand Mountain Headquarters: "...Terrifying!"

Le Zheng Qing gave a sinister smile. "A scholar on his way to take the exams? ...The Mountain Heir?"
