In his previous life, Jiang Shu struggled through a life in the gutter. He never coveted anything that didn't belong to him.

Yet for no apparent reason, everyone was constantly wary of him and targeted him at every turn, until he lost everything.

Reborn, he decides to keep his talents hidden, reclaim what belongs to him, and crush everyone who ever hurt him underfoot.

Then a character who had been insignificant to him in his previous life suddenly appears. He acts strangely and inexplicably, almost as if... he's doing the same things Jiang Shu did in his past life.

At first, Jiang Shu thinks he's found someone like himself. He gets close to him and uses him.

Later, Jiang Shu realizes that this foolish man, hiding his fangs behind a mask, is the only person in the world who understands him.

In the end, he can't help pinning the fool against a wall.

Chi Nian trembles. "D-don't come any closer. I'm a villain, you know!"

With everyone else, Jiang Shu is refined and restrained, but never lets a slight go unpunished.

With Chi Nian, he's cutting, vicious, shameless, and petty.

Chi Nian is indignant. "Jiang Shu, why are you always so nice to everyone else but so awful to me?"

Jiang Shu runs his finger over the corner of Chi Nian's lip, which he bit until it split, and laughs teasingly. "Because you're the only one who knows I'm the villain, aren't you?"
