In Gu Tianyi's dreams, there's a villa that draws crowds of young people from all walks of life, eager to check in... Though he spends every day alone inside the villa, watching people come and go outside, he never feels lonely.

Then, one day!

The villa's popularity plummets to almost zero!

To find out why the villa has become so deserted, its long-lonely owner happens to enter the dream of Gu Tianyi, a screenwriter, and asks him to help uncover the reason.

Director Gu has a close friend who's a top-tier star in the industry. He knows Director Gu is writing a script about a universally adored character that will be adapted into a TV series.

To make sure the project goes smoothly, the top-tier star friend invites him to take part in a live exercise about being universally adored, where he can find character references and inspiration...

He sets his sights on one person: Yu Xiaoai, who doesn't want to rely on marketing to promote himself, naturally attracts everyone's affection, yet is constantly pushed by his assistant to use marketing to cement his beloved status!

He's a very special person!

The two meet because of a misunderstanding. Their lives follow very different paths, but they end up working together, becoming roommates, and becoming friends... They share many thrilling experiences.

But Yu Xiaoai tells him, "If I have my beloved status confirmed on odd-numbered days, I won't be plagued by the curse on even-numbered days!"

Yu Xiaoai also wants to help Director Gu, but the director's creative team resents him being used as a reference for the character and throws all kinds of obstacles in their way!

To prove who he is, Yu Xiaoai bravely enters the entertainment industry and takes part in the activity of a certain daily-disposable idol, a role that suits him perfectly!

And because of that, the group sees in real life the very villa from Gu Tianyi's dreams! Gu Tianyi is stunned. So a villa like that really exists!
