Pei Mingye, who had topped the academic rankings for years, came from a wealthy family, was handsome, and had a gentle personality. He got along well with everyone

except Ji Xingzhou, the sour-faced new transfer student who sat beside him.

Unlike Pei Mingye, who was a natural at socializing, Ji Xingzhou was rather aloof toward other people.
