After a family upheaval, Yu Tingyue chose to take a break from school, pack his things, and return to the countryside for a pastoral life.

But before his quiet life among little bridges and flowing streams could even begin, his friend from a family of generations-old billionaires showed up and asked him to look after his amnesiac uncle.

Yu Tingyue was reluctant. “I... can't...”

His friend quickly rattled off an astronomical sum. “How about you think it over?”

Yu Tingyue: “No need to be polite. Your uncle is my uncle!”

His friend's uncle was often in the news: a handsome, refined, aristocratic tycoon. Surely amnesia wouldn't change any of that.

More mouths to feed meant a sure profit.

But a few days later, at the station entrance...

“Are you Yu Tingyue?”

A man with fluorescent purple hair and an unruly outfit appeared before him. He blew the fringe out of his eyes and asked in a domineering, cool, and utterly arrogant manner.

Yu Tingyue was silent for a long time. “...You've got the wrong person.”

Seventeen-year-old Lian Xiyun woke up to find himself surrounded by a crowd, while a high schooler was calling him Uncle.

Lian Xiyun was utterly baffled. “When did I get a nephew this old?”

That wasn't the only thing that was off. His beloved visual-kei hairstyle was now considered freakish.

Lian Xiyun: “I'm not the one who's wrong. It's the world!”

And then... he was sent to the countryside to work the fields.

The male caretaker assigned to his rural home was not only short-tempered, but made him dye his hair back to normal, put on unfashionable clothes, and learn how to plow and fertilize fields!

Lian Xiyun angrily threw down his rake. “I'm done!”

He vowed to make Yu Tingyue pay for overstepping his bounds!

That night, Lian Xiyun ran away from home and borrowed the landline at a little shop in the neighboring village, crying as he begged Yu Tingyue to come get him.

Pei Mingye, who has topped the grade rankings for years, comes from a wealthy family, is handsome and gentle, and gets along with everyone...

Except for his new deskmate, the sour-faced transfer student Ji Xingzhou.

Unlike Pei Mingye, who is in his element socially, Ji Xingzhou is rather cold toward people.

Pei Mingye especially agrees, having never once seen him smile.

It isn't until Pei Mingye unexpectedly turns into a cat and Ji Xingzhou adopts him that he discovers Ji Xingzhou is a total pervert with a thing for fluffy animals!

The pure white kitten gets kissed until its fur stands on end and its little ears turn red. It meows in furious protest: “What kind of respectable person keeps a cat like this?!”

The only response is an endless barrage of kisses from Ji Xingzhou.

After getting a cat, Ji Xingzhou notices his deskmate acting a little strange, always sneaking glances at him.

Thinking Pei Mingye is too embarrassed to speak up, he asks bluntly, “Do you want to talk to me?”

Pei Mingye cycles through fear, shock, and panic. “Who wants to? You're hilarious. Don't flatter yourself!”

Ji Xingzhou: “...Fine.”

Even after being denied, Ji Xingzhou can still feel that gaze coming his way now and then.

It feels strangely familiar.

Until one day, Ji Xingzhou finds a litter of kittens by the roadside again and is about to take them home to find them adopters, when a familiar figure suddenly appears beside him.

Gloom darkens Pei Mingye's elegant features, and he says coldly, “You're not allowed to keep them!”

Ji Xingzhou is baffled. “Why?”

“One cat isn't enough for you? How can you be so fickle?!”

Ji Xingzhou, who has never mentioned having a cat: ?

At last, Ji Xingzhou realizes what that familiar feeling is.

Pei Mingye seems just like his ill-tempered, tsundere, clingy little cat.

Pei Mingye is also a very unreasonable little cat.

He's the one who insists on taking Ji Xingzhou's spot on the pillow, but when he wakes up, he always gets embarrassed and furious, then claws and bites his human.

Ji Xingzhou's way of dealing with this naughty cat is to kiss him until he can't fight back.

Afterward, he even warns him, “If you do that again, I'll kiss you until you pass out!”

But one day, someone pins both his hands down and bites the same spot the cat bit, leaving an even deeper mark.

That person raises an eyebrow and provokes him: “Here's your chance to kiss me unconscious.”
