On her sixteenth birthday, Bai Zhi made three wishes over her cake.
She wanted to make lots of money, get a dog, and maybe hold hands with different handsome guys.
The candlelight flickered in the dark. When she opened her eyes again, a strange app had appeared on her phone: “Card Boyfriend.”
“Congratulations! You’ve unlocked this dating game! Your card pack has been sent. Draw your destined SSR now!”
Bai Zhi: “...?”
She assumed it was a scam, randomly drew one card, and promptly forgot about it.
But the next day, when she got home, a handsome man with a refined-villain vibe was standing in the living room. He pushed up the gold-rimmed glasses on the bridge of his nose.
“You’re finally back.”
Ignoring the kitchen on fire and the bathroom pipes that had burst, he asked politely, “Would you like to eat first, take a bath first, or... use me first?”

After repeatedly checking her own house number, she took a step back, opened her phone with a stern expression, and contacted customer support for the game.
“Isn’t this game involved in human trafficking?!”
“I’m a very upright person. I won’t let this slide!”
“...Send me another hundred card packs and we can talk.”

After sending away the gorgeous twin brothers, turning down the mature CEO, and sincerely bidding farewell to the pure-hearted junior, one day Bai Zhi, who had collected every card, dragged herself home and made three wishes with her eyes closed once more.
It was exhausting struggling through a love triangle, and men getting jealous over each other was scary, too.
She wished she could erase their memories, take her million-dollar fortune, and leave for good. Ideally, she’d spend the rest of her life retired, counting her interest and sipping wine.
The candlelight flickered again. When she opened her eyes, there was a chain around her slender ankle. A pair of long hands emerged from the darkness and covered her eyes, leaving no room for resistance.
“Where do you think you’re going?”
His voice was soft, as if he were singing an aria in Bai Zhi’s ear. “...I’ve been watching you silently all this time. And yet you want to abandon me, your most loyal dog.”
